About the Opportunity
Our client is a leading global IT services and consulting group, operating in 150+ countries with a long-established presence in Japan. They are building a new Global Capability Center (GCC) practice, helping Japanese companies design, build, and operate offshored capability hubs in India — covering data centers, AI platforms, and cloud infrastructure. This is increasingly an innovation and AI play rather than a pure cost play, and is already being adopted by both global tech majors and blue-chip Japanese firms. The practice spans solutioning, delivery, operations, sales, and marketing, with a target of building a 15-18 person team.
This role sits in the GCC Solution Enablement Team.
Role Mandate
Drive solution development and proposal activity for GCC engagements — turning client needs into tangible IT and business service proposals. You join proposal efforts from the earliest stages of a client's GCC construction or transformation programme, working across sales, delivery, technology, and commercial teams to lift proposal quality, keep solutions internally consistent, and win deals.
- Analyse client requirements and shape feasible IT and business service solutions
- Build proposal material and content aligned to client requirements and evaluation criteria
- Organise GCC operating models, service scope, governance, delivery models, and migration approaches
- Coordinate deal planning — tasks, dependencies, and schedules — across the full proposal lifecycle
- Validate the reasonableness of effort estimates and assumptions, and supply what pricing decisions require
- Structure risks, constraints, and dependencies into a proposal narrative built on governance and service levels
- Write executive summaries and support requirement-shaping discussions with client stakeholders
- Contribute to reusable proposal templates and solution assets
Requirements
- 10+ years of practical experience in solution enablement, solution architecture, proposal writing, bid/deal pursuit, IT services, managed services, or outsourcing
- Demonstrated ability to turn client requirements into actionable IT and business service proposals
- Experience formulating proposal strategy, driving solution concepts, validating workload, and running proposal development
- Japanese: native level (JLPT N1 equivalent or above). English: business level or above
Preferred
- Experience in global companies or cross-functional environments
- Qualifications across solution architecture, project management, IT service management, business analysis, enterprise architecture, or proposal management
- Knowledge of managed services and offshore / hybrid delivery models
- Direct experience on GCC construction or transformation projects
- Track record building and coordinating consensus across diverse stakeholders
Terms
- Full-time, permanent. Three-month probation. Contract-to-perm possible for the right person.
